Life With Benny and Cam: 15 mos/3.5 years

I had good intentions of adding words to this post...just sort of documenting what life was like with these 2 crazies...and then well...it got crazy :)

These 2 change and hit new milestones so fast these days (Cam especially) that it's really hard to keep up and to remember what he was like just 2 short months ago.

I think I will just leave this post up with these pictures of my babes from the fall...what a fun/crazy fall it was too. My favorite time of the year isn't quite the same when your are in the middle of a global pandemic. Many of our regular traditions and favorite fall activities had to be skipped this year, but we made it to the pumpkin patch, went trick or treating, and had a successful outdoor neighbor Halloween party...so I guess I can't complain too much.

Trick or Treating was EXTRA fun this year with Benny. He has a sweet tooth like you wouldn't believe and this year he definitely understood that he was getting candy. Both kids ate their weight in candy...and I didn't have to energy to stop them ;) The only negative to Halloween and Trick or Treating was the scary street in our neighborhood...pretty sure Benny is still worried about that screaming with with the upside down baby...

Our fall activities may have been a little different this year, but we also got to enjoy the giant tree out front. We weren't in our house this time last year so we didn't know how many leaves there would be. This gave us several afternoons of fun!

"Pretend I'm Yoda"

And yes...the Christmas jammies were out WAY before Christmas this year. Global pandemics mean that all rules are OFF the table :)

The absolute BEST part of this stage with the boys is seeing them play together and become friends. Benny is so sweet to his brother (most of the time) and Cam just thinks Benny is the coolest guy around.

The worst thing about this stage with Cam at least is the constant fear of him getting hurt. He loves to climb, jump, tumble, etc. He is an adrenaline junky with no regard for his surroundings. I think I should probably invest in some better health insurance ;)

Too bad these 2 don't sleep as well as these pictures make it seem...

Benny has been a hard core sleep regression (does that still happen at 3?!) he doesn't like going to bed or when we leave his room. He wakes up a lot at night and comes into our room...Fun!

Cam is actually a really good sleeper these days. He has some early mornings, but for the most part we can count on him to sleep. Now if only he could talk his brother into sleeping through the night ;)

We baked about 3 million cupcakes and cakes this fall...sugar over load for sure :)

We took advantage of any and all of the warmer fall days...bike rides and park dates!

These two are exhausting and crazy...but life is just more fun with them around, so I suppose we will keep them :)

One Year Photos + Family Photos

{ONE}

Camden, Cam, Cammers, Cam Cam, Cammy, Baby bro-bro, Godzilla Baby, Camikaze, Camzilla...so many nicknames and SO much personality in one little body. Our wild and crazy boy has brought so much joy and chaos to our family this year ;)

One year photos with this guy were far from relaxing...Valerie, our photographer worked her magic and somehow by the grace of God captured these perfect images <3 The cowbell in these photos has ZERO significance...it was just a last ditch effort to get him to sit still for a few seconds...and it worked!

The balloons offered a small distraction...but not much.

The cake didn't do too much to keep him still either :/

But once we added sprinkles and gave him the jar of the sprinkles he was ALL about it! Thank goodness for Valerie's patience and photography skills...I was definitely a sweaty, frazzled mess by the time we left and I was pretty convinced there wouldn't be one non-blurry photo...let alone a photo where he was looking at the camera smiling. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome!

In addition to getting Cam's one year photos, I added on a mini-family session to capture some pictures of this handsome guy...

His brother may be too busy to sit still for photos...but this little ham is a future model. Posing, smiling, and playing it up for the camera.

These two couldn't be more different...but gosh, do I just love being their mama <3

Cam was not super cooperative during our photo shoot...but getting everyone looking at the camera at the same time...in conjunction with that lighting <3

This might be my favorite photo ever...AJ isn't a fan, but c'mon...look at Cam's face :)

I sure love these handsome boys of mine...how did I get so lucky?
